She hesitated, her fingers hovering over the keyboard. The screen blared white in front of her, challenging her to fill the page with hundreds of words. The challenge had been presenting itself for the past six months, but she had never been ready to accept it. Now, though, the writer was ready to confront the greatest beast in the world. Fiercer than the Minotaur, more cunning than Loki, and more enigmatic than the Sphinx, the Internet loomed before her. Armed only with her wit and a keyboard, she was about to tackle a monstrosity that had crippled men and women a thousand times better than her. But, then, this particular writer could never back down from an impossibility.
The words began to flow across the page, consuming the snowy void. Faster at times as her thoughts raced with hurricane speeds, than slower as she paused to reconsider. Entire rows of text lined up, only to be eaten away again by the Delete key. Finally, the writer leaned back and admired her work. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips. Not bad. Not bad at all. Her smile grew as she realized; this was only the beginning.
My name is Hannah. I'm 13 years old, I live in a tree bedroom (sort of), I am a huge nerd, and, surprisingly, I love to write. This blog is just a little pet project of mind to just get my work out there and potentially meet other writers. I love feedback, but just try and say it like you would to the Queen of Hearts from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (that is to say, delicately). I will try to post one entry per month, but I'm not making any promises. Thank you for checking me out; I hope you are satisfied :)
Cheers,
H
(PS, I will try to keep the Whovian and other fandom references to a minimum, but one does not simply resist a good reference)
Congrats on the big decision! I'm looking forward to read your creations :)
